On March 17th, I had the incredible honor of hosting my first content day for wedding photographers at the legendary Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo, California. Located on California’s beautiful Central Coast, the Madonna Inn is famous for its vibrant colors, bold design, and uniquely themed rooms. Since it opened in 1958 by Alex and Phyllis Madonna, it has become an iconic spot loved by travelers and creatives alike, especially photographers searching for one-of-a-kind, colorful backdrops and charming vintage details.
Growing up on the Central Coast, the Madonna Inn has always been a special place to me. So when I started planning this photography content retreat, I knew right away that the Madonna Inn was the perfect location to inspire creativity and bring the vision to life. Its playful, whimsical atmosphere and striking interiors make it a favorite destination for photographers who want bold, memorable images.
The centerpiece of the day was our “Unbride” styled session, designed to capture the essence of the Madonna Inn’s personality. The question driving the shoot was: What would the Madonna Inn look like if it were a bride? This session truly reflected the heart and soul of the day, creative, vibrant, and full of character.
