Hi there! I’m Sarah, the photographer and creative heart behind Sea Salt Cowpoke Photography. I’m so glad you’ve found your way here, and I can’t wait to connect with you!
Born and raised on California’s Central Coast, my childhood was a mix of summer mornings spent barefoot on the beach to working cattle in the afternoons. My life has always been split between the sea and the land. Sea Salt Cowpoke is a nod to both, and everything they mean to me.
From a young age, I was taught to value family history. I remember sitting with old photo albums, some with pictures dating back over 100 years. I’d flip through the pages, completely drawn in by the faces and moments frozen in time. I found myself wondering, what did they pass down to me? What kind of people were they? What were their dreams? Did they laugh the way I do? Those photos made the past feel close, like I could reach out and be part of it. They told stories that mattered.
That’s where my love for photography started. I realized how meaningful it is to capture a moment in a way that lasts. It’s not about posed perfection. It’s about the real stuff, connection, love, laughter, legacy. Now, I get to do that for other people. I get to create images and memories that feel like home, like something worth holding onto for generations.
